The glass studio, located in the old glass factory, is part of the museum. Glassblowers Pavel Hasala and Barbara Ebner von Eschenbach vividly demonstrate their skills and craft. If glassblower Pavel Hasala is present, there is the chance to blow a glass balls called „Bewässerungskugel“ (€12/piece). It is best to contact the Museum (033704 980930) or to check the events calendar before your visit. Please ask the staff in the museum if there is a chance to assist more than ten guests blowing a ball. The set times doing this practical job are 11-12 am and 2-3 pm. Reservations are not possible. Other creative workshops are offered instead. At 12 and 3 PM the glassblowers make a presentation in which they showcase how a vase or glass animal is being produced.
Next to the museum is an oven, made by Pika, which is available for glassmaking courses. More information about glassmaking courses can be found here
